EMD Covered Wagons -- Rick Burn
Author: MartyBernard

1. AT&SF Train 1, the San Francisco Chief, in McCook, IL in February, 1965.

2. B&M F2A 4225, Springfield, MA on December 10, 1962.  Rick was young.  He got down in the snow!  The slide was badly deteriorated. Surprized myself at how well it came back.

3. FW&D F9A 750A in Wichita Falls, TX in August 1967.  Tom Hoffmann photo, Rick Burn collection

More priceless stuff!  It's amazing how much territory Rick Burn covered, and the quality of the slides he shot.  Thanks again for sharing.

Checking Google Maps, it appears that the Milwaukee Road Line is now a trail.  The only common element in Rick Burns' photo and a contemporary Google Maps Streetview is the tavern to the right of the photo.  It is now the Harmony Bar & Grill which claims to have the best burgers in Madison.

Love it! The Tower 55 shot in Ft Worth is all different now, with the highway interchange now above ground.

The train in Tower 55 is pulling over to the T&P East Yard.  From there it will be lined to back into the T&P station in Ft Worth. B unit were quite common on that train.
