Here's what Bruce noted on mount: '7 mi n. of Salida, CO' Date: 11/17/18 16:54 Re: BB: typical classy BB D&RGW freight shot from 1967 Author: santafe199 valmont Wrote: > ... I took a gander at Google Maps north of Salida. I found an area roughly 7 miles N of town where tangent trackage runs WNW out of a slight left hand curve. So if Bruce's shot is in the afternoon, it matches perfectly. The Arkansas River would be out of frame to his right. And Bruce would have had to negotiate quite some distance over back roads. But from all accounts it sounds like this would not have been much of a stretch for Bruce's intrepid ways... :^) Lance Date: 11/17/18 21:30 Re: BB: typical classy BB D&RGW freight shot from 1967 Author: royalgorge I believe that the shot that Bruce took is jsut east of the east switch of Brown's Canon. The highway is just to the left as is the

The crew is 7 miles from the end of their days work. Rob |
