The chase ended that day in Rupert, Pa where the EL interchanged with the Reading Company.

Those are incredible. How much of that line is intact?

The North Shore Railroad currently operates this line, but I do not know how much of the original line is intact.  Here's a link to a website:

Fifteen years ago, I rode a Fall Foliage excursion over this line from Northumberland to Danville.

YES HE DID!!! Great chase! The Bloom was sheer pleasure to chase a train on. I can remember the hostlers at Scranton putting the power together for the branch run, as I was leaving on a westbound main line job, and hoping that there were going to be some lucky fans out there to catch those lashups....and you were!
