These are all great images! However, a small gremlin crept into the caption on image #4. The second unit is BN 2005, formerly GN 2005. This second unit is not a GP30 but in fact a GP20. Thanks for sharing!

Lots to see here. I like the big cut of BN yellow reefers in the Wilmar photo. Were they on a thru train or loaded locally?

Wonder why so many of these photos look so hazy?   Maybe the camera had cataracts.  I had an old 35 years ago that had a hazy film between the lens elements and kind of came off like this.

Some were off brand film and processing which is probably the cause.

Marty, per our PM conversation I took this shot into Photoshop Elements 2019 and clicked on Haze Removal.   Didn't do anything else but it seemed to clean it up a bit.  I probably could have tweaked the exposure a little, but it does look a little clearer.   Hope you don't mind.

Interesting comparison between the two scans + post scan processing. I used plenty of bargain film back in the day and have a few shots that are way out of the box.

Don

What you did to the photo really messed it up.  The clouds are greenish with some red dots.  The blue in the sky is unreal.  The contrast in the locomotives is more than I wanted.

This was a raw scan.   If I was going to keep it, I would have tweaked it and made the sky correct.  This was one click of the "Haze Removal" button.  I'll work on it now and see how it will look.
