SSW 34706 is in Kent, Ohio in the late 1960's/early 1970's. She was built in September 1955, and she was used for paper loading only.

There are a lot of  1.5" scale box cars in that scheme that travel our live steam tracks.

The "powder" appearance almost looks like it was used for flour service.

In the late 1960's/early 1970's, 40 Ft. boxcars like SSW 34706 still carried a major portion or rail freight.
Most then still had historic heralds such as the one in your photo.
