A Couple of MILW Passenger Trains and More -- Walt Dunlap

Milwaukee Road Trains 55 and 58 in the first 4 of Walt's photos were nameless Chicago to the Twin Cities trains making a lot of stops that the Hiawathas skipped.

Great shots.  In the second photo are the units taking water or fuel?  I am just curious.  Thanks.

The forward tank on E Units was for Boiler Water. So the unit in the picture is taking on water.

Just noticed 35C has the bell on top of the nose.  First and only time I've ever seen this.

Thank you.  Quite the elaborate watering set up.  I wonder if these were used to water the cars as well.
