On April 13, 1963 Wail Dunlap talked his way into a caboose ride on a Milwaukee Road local freight from Preston to Isinours Junction and return (in southeast Minnesota).  Here are eight of the photos he took.

1. MILW Caboose 01821 at Preston, MN on April 13, 1963.  Preston is about 70 miles west of La Crosse, WI.

4. MILW SW1 975 9built as MILW 1631 in October 1940) working at Isinours Junction.

5. Isinours Junction was on the east/west mainline.  The branch line to Preston (and originally beyond to Caledonia) began there.

6 and 7.  A MILW friight from Austin to La Crosse came by.
