Regards, Jim Evans Date: 01/10/19 11:25 Re: 1969 Transcontinental Rail Trip Author: spdaylight Boy does that bring back memories . . . we took the train from Vancouver BC to SF back in 1953 when it was GN to Seattle, NP to Portland and SP to Oakland and then the ferry to SF . my most memorable moment was the articulated dining cars on the SP section . . . we rode coach all the way and at ten years of age, it wasn't that bad re: trying to sleep . . really appreciate you taking all the photos and the back story!
