Long ago in the Mile High City...
Author: tolland

So in my history, I tried several times to get Union Pacific to hire me. For whatever reason, it wasn't meant to be. I went right over to BNSF and not only did they hire me, they allowed me to flex my start date with them. Anyway, I worked as a switchman in the BNSF yard in Denver for almost a year. It was really funny, on the Frontier Days Train of 2004, I shook hands with a VP of Union Pacific and was a full BNSF employee, carrying my I.D. with me. I'll allow you to speculate as to why I didn't get hired. Anyway, here's the Pikes Peak Local, getting ready to leave Denver in April of 2004. Now BNSF will punish employees for photography on the job.
