EL 2519 (GE U25B) leads a westbound through Kent, Ohio in the late 1960's/early 1970's.

Home run again! I wish I had spent more time in the Kent area. Just one great area to take in my two favorite roads...B&O not Chessie, but it came with the turf.

Neat shot, Bob! I guess I never noticed, but I thought U-25-Bs had single pane windshields. Was this 2-pane style standard on the EL?

I have a photo of EL 2501 with the single paine windshield. My guess is that later orders had double paine windshields.

The 1964 U25B order (2501-2512) were built with flat low noose's and single windshields. They also had the maroon lettering in the gray above the yellow/maroon band.

The 1965 order for U25B's (2513-2527) were the later slopped nose, two piece windshield type units. The also had yellow lettering in the maroon band.

Thanks for all the information. This photo shows EL 2519 is from the second order and 2510 is from the first order. Their paint scheme and lettering are somewhat different as was just mentioned.
