Nostalgia & History > OTD A few Conrail from 1/22/84Date: 01/22/19 17:30 OTD A few Conrail from 1/22/84 Author: perklocal Here are 3 that I shot on ex-Lehigh Valley trackage 35 years ago today. #1 CR 3333,2786 on OIPI westbound at Freemansburg,PA. #2 CR 5056,5059,3401,3400 eastbound on TV-12M at Bethlehem,PA. #3 CR 6304,3318,3300 eastbound on TV-4 crossing the Delaware River into Phillipsburg,NJ.

Thanks for sharing your photos. I'm pretty sure you and I grew up in the same ERA. I live a mile (+/-) from Perkiomen Jct, so I appreciate your handle. I also model CR in the Allentown area in the 1996 ERA which is where your photos help "me" out. Please, ...keep 'em coming", Steve Date: 01/31/19 10:56 Re: OTD A few Conrail from 1/22/84 Author: Gonut1 Big Blue looking good! I see Conrail was still using the LV bridge over the Delaware. Later CR moved to the CNJ bridge right behind it which was in much better condition and could handle more weight. In the last few years NS reinforced the CNJ bridge to keep up with modern weight limits. Nice catch.
