Back when the UP had a wide variety of power the RR sure gave us plenty of opportunities to burn Kodachrome on their trains. Here's one with a pair of DD35A's and a GP30 at Dale WY. By Bruce Black, Oct. 1967

UP sure could chew up the film!! Dale Jct. was hands down the best spot to watch UP action! The shot posted here was a superb angle for eastbounds, but you could work the whole junction area throughout the day as the Sun changed positions, and never run out of photo ops. I also think the UP era of super diesel power was their finest moment. Nice post and great memories.

Only saw the DD units think they were DD40 were one day leaving La Grande OR airport there were two leading a long freight.
