In the fading light, Amtrak GG-1 4939 heads West thru Elizabeth, New Jersey.

It's passing an Eastbound Conrail freight with a covered hopper from a well missed Fallen Flag.

Here's the Broadway cruising Eastbound along the "Broadway".

Amtrak EMD F40 320 has the right of way as Conrail EMD SD60 6847, with an empty hopper train, cools it's heels.
The ex-PRR mainline goes from 3 to 2 tracks here.

Amtrak E8A #327 was built 3//53 as UP #931; leased to Amtrak #1327 5//72; sold to Amtrak #327 11//73; retired by Amtrak 6/26/74; sold for scrap to Naporano Iron & Metal, Newark, New Jersey 7//75.
