This shot was taken from the Oakdale Ave overpass in much simpler times.

Until the Oakland Lark was discontinued, 1960, I think, the Lark departed SF with a standard Pullman on the rear. At San Jose the Oakland Lark was switched into the consist, and included a Pullman buffet-lounge observation car, which provided dinner and breakfast service.
