Back when I began to photograph trains in the early 1970’s, I fluctuated between a Polaroid and an old Kodak Hawkeye Flashfun 127 film camera. Neither took very good pictures but today the Polaroid’s have faded into oblivion and Hawkeye negatives have survived, at least to a certain extent. Here are a trio of F-unit pics I've made an attempt to make presentable, all taken in 1973.

1) Walking around LAUPT one morning, I found FP7A 6449 and 2 SDP45’s backing onto the Coast Starlight. From what I remember this was early spring.

2) Another FP7A, Katy 80C poses in Parsons, KS sometime that summer.

3) And Frisco F7A 33 at Springfield, MO, also in the summer.

Not the best quality but better than nothing, thanks for looking.
