Nostalgia & History > more Friday forties . . .Date: 03/22/19 19:53 more Friday forties . . . Author: 3rdswitch . . . this is a repost but it's been awhile, fitting for this subject line. Five mixed new SP and SSW GP40-2's before they were relegated to branch line service leading a hotshot somewhere in AZ. I was heading east on Interstate 10 at track speed plus so it had to be a westbound with a frontage road between me and the train.

There appears to be a yellow stripe on the left (median) side of the road which supports this. In this case, i guess you would've had to be pacing the train. No?

Author: 3rdswitch I don't think I was pacing, as the drivers window is on the other side, I "think" this was a meet shot at high speed thus the blur. My mind is totally blank as to where, I guess it could have actually been in NM where the line was on the north side of I 10. I give up.
