the engine is silent comedian Chester Conklin. This looks like a studio publicity still photo. PS: I posted the middle photo at the movie site I belong to. To verify this information and also to get a name for the actor? sitting on the cowcatcher. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 04/19/19 06:34 by BaltoJoey. If you could post the complete photo. I might be able to find out what film it is from. Date: 04/20/19 12:19 Re: Old time laughs Author: BaltoJoey That is a publicity still for the movie "Tell It To Sweeney." (1927)
It starred Chester Conklin and George Bancroft. That is George Bancroft sitting above the cowcatcher. I did an image search and found a better still photo at the IMDB! https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BYmM3NjlkZDYtMTljYS00NDA3LTllYzgtOWU3ZWY2ODliMmQxXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTMxNjc1Mjg@._V1_.jpg PS: Here is a lobby card for that film. https://m.media-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BM2JhYTk5ZjQtNmNiZi00MjM0LTg3ZjAtYjZiYjgwZGE3MTQwXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyMTcyODY2NDQ@._V1_.jpg Date: 04/22/19 03:35 Re: Old time laughs Author: bakersfielddave That's all I got you can see the full image in the vertical pic the engine looks like a number 38 perhaps
