Red River Valley & Western CF7s 300 and 307 -- Ed Zarfoss

Ed caught these in October 1987.

1. Red River Valley & Western CF7 300.  Ex-ATSF CF7 2422, nee ATSF F7A 245L, sold to South Dakota Wheat Growers Assoc 300.

2. Red River Valley & Western CF7 307.  Ex-ATSF CF7 2467, nee ATSF F7A 247L; sold to Texas Rock Crusher 307.

3, 4 and 5. Interior cab shots.

The control stand looks like what the Santa Fe GP30s and '35s had in the early '70s. I wonder if those models got the AAR stands during shopping, with the old ones swapped back to the CF7s to replace the barrel stands.

Interesting ultra-low profile Leslie SU-3L-R horn on the 307.  The #44 bell almost looks like it has the old-style tabbed back caps.

Bring some stuffing along in the winter to pulg the hole bottom right.
