Ex-BN, exx-SP&S ALCo FA1 is just about finished being rebuilt into Long Island Railroad "power car" 611. 

The unit is at the General Electric Apparatus Shop and is one of a group of FA's the LIRR bought to be used to provide HEP on certain trains.  
The tail end of a Western Maryland FA is just in front of the 611.

Your story about getting that photo is probably as interesting as the photo.
