Some of you may remember this train - Amtrak cars used by the Today Show during the Bryant Gumbel and Jane Pauley era.
The "Today Express" travelled and broadcast from a number of cities starting here at Houston Union Station. From Houston the train went to New Orleans, Memphis, Indianapolis and Cincinnati. The show was broadcast from each city.
The consist was Superliners with one ex-Santa Fe Hi-Level coach and the Amtrak 10000.
Three very clean F40PH units led. 
This was the only time I saw Superliners at Union Station.
In the last shot remember the large sattelite trucks ?
Anyone have shots of the train away from Houston ?
