What to do with a lot of documents from eastern RR's
Author: inCHI

My late father has a large amount of documents that I need to scale down, as I don't have the space for them. These include track charts, timetables, maps, and more, centered on Conrail (where he worked) but also covering other railroads, particularly eastern RR's. A large chunk of the material, I think, is from the NS/CSX split of Conrail, when he told me that he went to the dumpsters at headquarters and pulled out a lot of items that had been trashed. I know that he already had donated a set of that material to the Conrail Historical Society. Are there other places it could be donated to? Or other recommendations? Once I'm looking at it again I could post a more specific description of what the files are.

I am currently going over similar materials for a friend.
If you go to train shows you see these items all the time.  I rarely see any one buying them.

I posted a few photos below in the old paper work post.

Would the Illinois Railway Museum be interested?
