Nostalgia & History > MOP Forties for FridayDate: 09/20/19 10:54 MOP Forties for Friday Author: cewherry MOP SD40's 707 and 704 at Osawatomie, KS in 1968. Does this engine servicing facility still exist?
I just noticed the continuous handrail across the front and lack of walkway chains or drop-step for passage between units. Obviously MOP management didn't want or allow crew movements within the consist. Charlie Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 09/20/19 14:21 by cewherry. They didn't have dynamic brakes so the Santa Fe wouldn't allow us on their railroad without dynamic brakes but the morons in Omaha couldn't understand that.-BMT
