Big Blue Monday
Author: thebluecomet

The former Lehigh Valley mainline across western New Jersey has always been an excellent area for scenery in the east.  Even today, one can find numerous angles to catch NS trains.  Back in Conrail days several freights would show up early to mid-mornings on the weekend.  I've always worked six days a week, so Sunday was always train day.

1.  SD60 6854 leads an eastbound RoadRailer train east of Jutland, NJ.  October 23, 1994.

2. GP40 3392 leads another easbound approaching the big curve at Staton Station, NJ.  October 1997.

3. Shiny, new LMX C40-8W 721 and 720 eastbound on the curve at Staton Station. October 23, 1994.  Tree growth, already encroaching here, precludes this shot today.
