Back in Oct 1994 my friend TO's RAG and myself were on a railfaning trip and we were on Tennessee Pass in CO.  We decided to camp out at the east end of the tunnel . We were sleeping in the camper of my pickup as it was 15 outside when we heard a train come up the hill and stop. I had to use a credit card to scrape off the ice off the wimdow inside so I could see what was out there. It was still dark when the train pulled up and stopped and he set there for a long time and no other trains came by so I figured he must be setting retainers before heading down hill as it was a loaded iron ore train. We got up to check it out just before sunrise to see it had 3 SP  C44-9's and a Conrail C-40-8. As he started to take off he gave us a fireworks show that warmed us right up.
