Several images of Conrail trains across Central New Jersey on the former Lehigh Valley main.  Technically these rails are still Conrail, on paper anyway, and are jointly used by NS and CSX today.

1. Class unit 6600, a C-30-7 westbound at the Oaktree Road overpass in Edison, NJ.  The former LV 4 track main is still visible.  Tree growth and trafiic make this shot nearly impossible today. Train GBPI on January 25, 1981.

2.  GP40-2 3386 westbound at South Plainfield, NJ. Again the once 4 track main is still visible.  November 20, 1983.

3.  Not the best photo, but considering it was an unexpected meet between the two trains it's still OK.  Opposing freights OIPI westbound and PIOI eastbound meet along the frozen New Market pond on January 25, 1981.  3367 is the eastbound.  OI= Oak Island, Newark, NJ & PI= Pittsburgh, PA.

4.  Another image from the street of the frozen New Market pond.  SD40-2 6373 on eastbound PIOI, January 31, 1988.  The trees between the tracks and the pond are full grown now.

5. Westbound train TV-201 on track 2 at Middlesex, NJ.  The former CNJ main is just over the fill to the left. October 30, 1983.

6. SD40-2 6346 powers PYSE east at the Cedar Ave grade crossing in Middlesex, NJ. Also October 30, 1983.  PY=Potomac Yard & SE=Selkirk Yard.

Nice !  The shot of TV-201 at Middlesex reminded me of that period of time when CR would run solid trains of single stack containers.
