Nostalgia & History > Forty Plus Years Ago (60) - SHRTDate: 01/26/20 11:43 Forty Plus Years Ago (60) - SHRT Author: refarkas Here is an image (and a closer crop) of the east end of the Shaker Heights Rapid Transit Van Aken line. This was taken in the late 1960's/early 1970's in Cleveland. From left to right are SHRT 74, 45, 65, 48, 84, and 77. PCC car SHRT 74 at the far left has its doors open to load riders. The rest are inside the turnback loop.
1.) A wider look. 2.) A closer crop. Bob Date: 01/26/20 12:42 Re: Forty Plus Years Ago (60) - SHRT Author: gcm Nice shots.

PCC was one time design by committee worked. ALLEN Date: 01/26/20 14:06 Re: Forty Plus Years Ago (60) - SHRT Author: refarkas It has been many years since I was there. I'll let a younger railfan show what this looks like now.
Bob Date: 01/26/20 18:04 Re: Forty Plus Years Ago (60) - SHRT Author: halfmoonharold Well, I took a shot at it. You can't get to the exact right spot on G. Earth. At least you can still see tracks at lower right. I've never been there in person, so I can't exactly place the loop.
