The Cincinnati Special makes a stop at the Shelbyville passenger station in 1955. The Special was train #416, ran between Cincinnati and Chicago, and was discontinued in 1963. EB was dark; WB was daylight. The tracks were really rough then. Of course, it has film from other contributors such as John Prophet, Dr. Howard Blackbutn and others, as well.

When I was a kid we used to watch the Riley roar past the Beech Grove yards in the evening heading for Shelbyville and Cincinnati. It was double track...speed was at least 70. Those were the days!
