Nostalgia & History > USAF Academy 1987

Hello, we were visiting the US Air Foirce Academy in 1987 and somewhere near I snapped this picture. This was long before I became interested in trains. Can anyone give a haphazard guess as to the location?

Southgate road on the Academy, right before you go left and cross over the tracks. Road in back is Pine drive. Strange, seems like it is single track there, does anyone know when they install North Academy siding?

The picture before this one was of the T38 Talon at the Airmanship display on South Gate Blvd. So your expalnation fits perfectly. Now after 33 years I finally know.
