Fifty Or More Years - GM&O
Author: refarkas

It is early 1969 in Chicago, Illinois where GM&O (EMD E7A) 103 and 101(EMD E7A) sit in the sun.

Is it my imagination or does it appear that areas on both units are masked off like they may be touching up some pain.  I know it is a curious question to ask since GM&O in my experience rarely washed locomotives and ICG appeared to never wash.

Beautiful!  I used to ride behind GM&O E's on the way home from school in Bloomington, IL and, of course, I never took any pictures.  Thanks for posting!

Of more importance,  is the fact that 103 was
the largest star in the movie  "IN THE HEAT OF THE NIGHT".

Great Photo!  A nice open shot. They still basically look good after a lot of miles and years.
Thanks for the excellent photo posting.
