New York 98 behind seven geeps, Montclair Heights, NJ.  It must have been a Sunday morning power move?  February, 1975.

From what I know about the EL this train didn't rate power like this so must have been. I love it, what a herd! Looks like there isn't a single one with dynamic brakes either. Which is a little rare to me to not at least have one in the mix. The EL certainly had quite a few GP7's and 9's so equipped👍🏻I believe you have 7 7's there lol. The only thing that could equal that in coolness would be 7 RS3's, oh wait the EL did that too!

That is a very neat photo.  Very tough to get an opportunity to take a broadside photo of seven GP7's.
Thanks for the super interesting photo posting.

I'd have to agree, power move. Saw this on the Erie side of the NY Division too. Not uncommon on a Sunday, even in the early Conrail days

Very cool photo! Never saw quite that mix of power, but I did have the honor of riding up front on NY98 a few times between Hornell and Scranton. Miss the EL, and sorry I missed that lashup in your photo.
