Recently I posted another shot of this train when it was passing through Boulder CO ... this one is at Broomfield, CO as it continues its journey south to Denver. The date was Dec. 6, 1970 ... by Bruce Black.

I'm trying to figure out where that was taken. Is that Long's Peak in the background?

snowcaps look like Indian Peaks at western boundary of Boulder County, Longs would be farther northΒ

Beautiful! Granted that this was a C&S train, but I see absolutely nothing in this photo to indicate that this was nine months into the BN merger.
