1. ACY/N&W Medina OH 8/29/82 by Jim Marcus 2. AT&SF Mazon IL 8/9/03 my shot 3. WI&M Bovill ID 8/15/81 my shot (Washington, Idaho & Montana) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/09/20 11:02 by valmont. Date: 07/09/20 13:43 Re: Depot trio: Medina OH, Mazon IL, Bovill ID Author: MEKoch Medina station was gone about 1984-85. But the W&LE has plenty of business in Medina with local industries to keep the line quite active. One eb & one wb, plus stone extras, and other extras. A daylight crew switches the industries in Medina.

It was sagging even more than in your photo, and was gone by the time I graduated in 1995.
The much-remodeled Mazon depot still stands. The asbestos-clad remnant you photographed was what was left following a 1953 rebuild of a larger structure that, even earlier, included an interlocking tower for a long-gone crossing of the Kankakee & Seneca: https://books.google.com/books?id=bhnVTdSD9HMC&lpg=PA103&dq=mazon%20depot%20tower&pg=PA103#v=onepage&q=mazon%20depot%20tower&f=false http://towns-and-nature.blogspot.com/2015/12/mazon-il-junction-tower-k-and-santa-fe.html BNSF has since remodeled the Mazon depot yet again with metal siding: https://goo.gl/maps/s7aHsi9HYuCZqz358 Date: 07/10/20 12:43 Re: Depot trio: Medina OH, Mazon IL, Bovill ID Author: SilverPeakRail I love the photos of Mazon, IL. For about 40 years I have owned the ticket dater from the agency, so this was a good excuse to fire it up. It needs a new ribbon though.
