Warbonnet Wednesday, 2nd section, BNSF . . .

.   .   .   probably on it's first ever visit to the LA area, brand new 8280 was looking good at BNSF's Commerce, CA, diesel service facility in NOV '97. This would be one of the last units FACTORY painted in the famous Warbonnet livery.

I have always adored these units. By far my favorite Warbonnet units ever - the nose headlights and small lettering always seemed much more elegant of a design. I miss seeing these leading grain trains on the funnel back in the late 90's. Thanks for posting!

So very nice.  Those units almost always looked good, but stellar with fresh pain!
