Author: odub Here's 1-806 somewhere in Southern California led by SD-9 5451 followed by SD-35 4841, SD-40 8404 and what appears to be another SD-9. Judging by the numbers, I'm guessing this is late 1966 while SP was in the middle of its system-wide renumbering. 8404 was new in 66, I believe.

Author: trackplanner Looks like Soledad Canyon between Palmdale and Saugus on the Saugus Line. Train 806 was the regular freight on that line.

A flat with buildings on it above the tracks. Thanks.
