Nostalgia & History > Flare Friday CNW on the MILWDate: 07/31/20 04:17 Flare Friday CNW on the MILW Author: MILW86A CNW 976 West meets a MILW Train at Deer Creek Siding on the north side of Clinton IA in January 1980. The 976 will get on the CNW at 5th St in Clinton and run to Tama IA to get back on Milwaukee Rails for the remainder of the trip to Perry, provided the crew makes it in 12 hours.
January 1980 photo by Mark Llanuza from my collection. MILW86A Date: 07/31/20 07:20 Re: Flare Friday CNW on the MILW Author: King_Coal Great sense of forboding in this moody photo. I suppose the CNW unit is leading for cab signals. But the either the end of the Milwaukee is near or already here. In Iowa anyway.
