F Unit Friday: Matched CNW Set
Author: BNSF-6432

While traveling by way of the MILW, Frank Tribbey snapped off a shot of a CNW freight powered by an ABA set of F7's. The train is noted to be southbound, but no noted location.

Sure looks like Kenosha WI with the AMC factory in the background.

It’s not Belvidere. The Milwaukee Road had no tracks near the C&NW in that area.

Definitely a nice shot to see ABA freight F's.  The location is Chase on the south side of Milwaukee.  At one time, the North Western had a large roundhouse and yard there.  The shot is probably taken from the North Shore ROW (in 1962 it was still operating). Yes- the Milwaukeee crosses and can been seen in the background.  Today this view would show I-94, but trees would probably obscure the view.
