CP RDC's and a covered bridge, Capleton QC 1968
Author: eminence_grise

On March 2nd, 1968, the CRHA (Canadian Railroad Historical Association) ran an excursion train from Montreal QC to Newport VT, using their own route and returning on the tracks of their subsidiary Quebec Central .  The heritage of the Beebe Subdivision of the Quebec Central was the Boston & Maine who took over a construction era shortline. The QC took over from the B&M early in the last century. This part of the QCR was abandoned in 1988.

The location is Capleton QC where a runpast was taking place, using an old covered bridge as a background. We were standing on its Bailey Bridge replacement.

Sadly, the covered bridge burned in 2002.

Fill flash or cloud hole burner would have been nice but I am sure it was a nice ride.

Great winter time photo. Classic compositional elements with a winter sky.

Hit it with PSE Auto Color Correction and once with Auto Sharpen and it looks like a great winter time photo, with classic compositional elements and a winter sky..
