JB - Omaha Date: 09/11/20 05:26 Re: Encore 36: UP museum? Nope, just the Cheyenne yard in '69 Author: santafe199 I took a handfull of shots like this myself. At the time, they almost became candidates for the dumpster because there was "no clear engine reference". But in looking back, now I realize how historically important scene shots like these are. And yes... I "sure wish I had taken more just like them"... (sighhh........ ;^)

The steam crane framed by turbines and E units along wit a retired steam locomotive which might have been 3985. Bob Krieger Cheyenne, WY Date: 09/11/20 23:32 Re: Encore 36: UP museum? Nope, just the Cheyenne yard in '69 Author: davew833 Bet it's #3985. The pilot looks too short to be a Big Boy (which would have been #4023).
