Milwaukee Memories From Savanna
Author: CNW8531

One of my three favorite railroads was the Milwaukee Road.  Here's a sample of some of they're power taken at Savanna, Illinois in late 1975 and early 1976.

Thanks for sharing these photos. Savanna was a great place to railfan in the early 1970's. The workers were friendly, and the F's and FM's were still there.

Interesting photos. Wonder how many of the FM's were still operable? Thanks for sharing.

Good stuff here! My late friend & fellow '80s KS gangster Mark Simonson was a huge Milwaukee fan. And I particularly like the 548! I rode in the engine a few times while working in Pierre, SD for the DM&E in the summer of 1987...
