A few shots from 9/27/83. Conrail 3284,3313,3338,3315 (4 GP40-2s) on an eastbound UPR coal train on the Reading Line at Downeyflake Lane in Allentown,PA. This train of Chessie coal was bound for the coal dumper at Port Reading,NJ. Not long after the UPR cleared, the Industrial Drill with CR 9590 (ex-RDG 2751 SW1500) was getting ready to deliver some Mack Truck cabs to the Mack 5C Plant in Allentown. Late in the day I followed CR ALCG (Allentown,PA.-Corning,NY.) up the Lehigh Line. This shot was taken on the ex-CNJ passing what was left of the interchange yard with New Jersey Zinc and the long out of service "HX" Tower at Palmerton,PA.

Three great historical photos. The CR on the hood of the switcher in photo two seems higher than usual.

This is for Kemacprr.  I shot this one at Allentown,PA. on 2/22/84.  N&W 203031 Class F-20. Original Flat Car blt. 11-42. Don't know when it was rebuilt to haul Mack Cabs.

The cars were loaded at the Sheller-Globe plant in Norwalk, OH. which was on the Pittsburgh Division of the Norfolk and Western.

Thanks nw6175. I always wondered where these cabs were manufactured.
