Evening at early summer Willard , OH 2006.
Author: jkh2cpu

So I've photographed trains since 1953 when I snapped one of AT&SF 3751 in San Diego. Alas, I've lost track of that negative. Anyway I continued chasing the occasional steam excursion until I got married nearly five decades ago. When I retired, my wife encouraged me to buy a nice Nikon D-70, which I did as soon as the words were out of her mouth. I practiced rusty skills down in Durand, MI and published them on ABRP (usenet). There were some regulars there who would travel as a group around the mid-west, and I got invited to join up with them down Ohio in June 2006. The first two shots are my first attempt at low light-level photography with that D-70. I noted that I needed a tripod or mono-pod to steady the camera, and, Gee! A camera with a faster iso and less noise would be handy ;-)

John.
