Nostalgia & History > Petal to the metal, bad shot but pure Adrenaline rush!!!Date: 11/25/20 14:01 Petal to the metal, bad shot but pure Adrenaline rush!!! Author: slacks Summer of 1974 has me chasing the BN Pacific Zip north out of Savanna Ill. I,am beating my 72 Ford Mavrick at 65+ and cussin traffic! The train is pulling away and all I can do is grabshoot threw the window. With my cheap instamatic it,s a lost cause! A green CS U-30c leads a still GN SD-45 and another SD-45. Pacific Zip was one of BNs hottest trains with plenty of power and around 25 pigs. Memories is whats left!

Their high horsepower stuff got out of Colorado right after the merger,
