UP freight with a SD40-2/GP15 combo

Northbound UP #3587 and #1720 thread the switches all the way from track one, thru the yard lead and finally the south leg of the wye of the Chicago District to head on north towards Mt. Vernon and Salem at Gorham, IL on October 11, 1987.

Odd how what at that time was the Chicago Subdivision has since been split into four different subdivisions.  Today it would be entering the Mt. Vernon Sub.
