Twenty Tuesday...ATSF 3000

Sitting at Newton, Ks., GP20 ATSF 3000 sits in her last (I believe) renumbering after a long career as class engine.

The 3000 never did get patched to BNSF 2000 before it was retired in 1999.  New owner Pioneer Railcorp hasn't renumbered it yet, either.  At last report, it was still running around as PREX 3000 on the Georgia Southern Ry.

Guessing your photo was taken in the mid-80's?
