Might be fresh citrus from Florida in one direction. Oranges and lemons etc don't do well in freezing temps.

The insulated cars prevent the sudden temp drops.

Nice to see a photo of 4890 in service. In 1991 it was at the B&O Railraod Museum in Baltimore. Not there now, may have gone to Green Bay?
