Crap - just noticed I put this in the Railroader's Nostalgia section instead of the Nostalgia and History.  Can a Mod move the thread for me?

The port itself would occasionally take lumber cars. I think they transloaded onto trucks out of the port.

First-class set - Photo two is my favorite. The lighting adds so much to this image.

The photo on Tennessee Pass looks like it is probably around 1979 or earlier.  I spotted an Evergreen box car and those were repainted to SP around 1979 when SP shut down Evergreen and absorbed the boxcars into it's fleet.

Cheers,
Jim

With three 40' XM's in sight, probably mid-70s, or earlier.  Didn't see many solid SP sets in those days.

Four lead units lack the SP lettering on the nose that started in 1971, that may give a date clue.
