WP F7s in Stockton 1973
Author: ssloansjca

WP F7 in Stockton — Western Pacific (WP) EMD F7 913-A is resting in the WP Power Pool in Stockton, CA on a Sunday afternoon in 1973.
According to good sources, including Joseph Strapac's Diesel Locomotives of the Western Pacific, WP 913-A was reportedly built in 1950 by EMD as a model F7A, builders number 8976, WP 920-A, class D-239. It became WP 913-A in 1971, renumbered 913 in 1975, overhauled by MK in 1978 and donated in 1981 to the California State Railroad Museum.

I hope you enjoy these:

And yet another one...

Taken from the Tower Bridge, looking down the Capitol Mall, WP 913 leads the day's first run of the Polar Express holiday train at 3:30 p.m. on Friday December 16, 2011 crossing the Lincoln Highway in Sacramento, CA.

I'm sure glad to see they kept those Leslie air horns on her.  Just wouldn't be the same with a lame Nathan model.

The F7's and F3's always had the Leslie air horns. The FP7's were the only carbody units that had the Nathan M5's.
