Here's three more flares for Friday.

4.  One of the SD45 demonstrators at Southern Pacific's Los Angeles Taylor Roundhouse.  Undated shot, but it'd have to be somewhere around 1966.

5.  "Kickin' back" on the second unit of an SP eastbound between Walnut and Pomona.  1969.

6.  One of the D&RGW pooled SD45's heads up the eastbound Kaiser Steel empty coal hoppers.  Undated.

Looks like you're coming up to the east switch at Walnut and I'd guess
that's Clyde-'Cup Cake'-Hubbard at the throttle.

Even if not C.C., that's a neat shot.

Hi Charlie.  No, actually it was Curtis Stockton.  That particular trip stands in my mind because after we got over on the Hill, a storm came in and wiped out the railroad in several places east of Colton.  Plus, the highway was obliterated also.  We were stranded in Indio.  My crew laid there for over 60 hours.

Picture #5, looks like somebody decided to mess around a bit and turned on the rear classification/marker lights with the red lens selected on the lead unit.

Really like shot no. 5.
