GP40 2023 leads a pig train through the station in Milwaukee.
The recently arrived cars from the AAPRCO (American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners) were being switched at the time.

Looks MILW in all respects but officially was SOO.

That pair of GP40's look like they're leading whatever MILW's Q trains used to be called.  Glad you got them-my luck with the MILW was non-existent.

Glad you got them in the Milwaukee scheme. The "bandit" patch job is one of the worst coverups I've witnessed.

It was probably train 210 IM. 

A little more history around the passenger cars in the photos.

In the first shot you see, from left to right, Montana, Catherine Boothe and Philadelphia Star

Montana and Catherine Boothe had arrived in Milwaukee on Oct 10, 1986, a day later than planned. They, along with Louisa, Minneapolis and Silver Chalet were the last 5 cars on the rear of Amtrak #8 that derailed all but these 5 cars at Fall River the day before.

They were taken off #8 and routed around the blockage by way of New Lisbon, Stevens Point, Appleton and Duplainville where they were brought through the newly completed connection in the NE quadrant between the former Soo Line (now Wisconsin Central) and the former Milwaukee Road (now SOO/CP) and on in to Milwaukee for the AAPRCO conference.

They were the first revenue move as we had just put the track in service.
