Seems the units were experiencing lots of traction motor flash-overs at speed, so I spent a month or more riding mostly between Amarillo, TX to Clovis, NM. Then EMD moved me to San Bernadino, CA for the modification program, which included the complete engine rebuild on a few selected units for an oil company's sponsored "oil performance test". Lots of interesting happenings.
